If you are considering moving to Bakersfield, California do yourself and your fellow possible moving companions (family) a BIG favor… DON’T! It used to at least have one thing going for it years ago… CHEAPEST RENT IN CALIF., now it does not even have that going for it. The summers are miserable, the air quality sucks (and that is on it’sbetter days!) it gets worse from there, especially in the summer. Roaches GALORE! Most of the Pervs are released from nearby pens and the only things there are to do in the Godforsaken town is eat crap, smell crap (from the nearby cows in the fields) and watch crap happen (like when one of the many druggies goes off, or a local cop shoots another kid or 98 pound woman). If that sound like your idea of a Great place to live and raise your family well then… COME ON DOWN!!!!!!! I am here STUCK praying for a miracle to get my house sold and make tracks IMMEDIATELY thereafter as far from thishell ole as I can get!
