Many Americans take freedoms for granted, but a fair amount make the most of what the Founding Fathers gave us when they wrote The Constitution.

USA is good in and out. You can’t just look at the big cities, you have to look at the small towns. Even on road trips when the destination is the large metropolis, you really experience the beauty of America in the journey from place to place, the villages and towns, the streets that aren’t paved, the rivers and lakes.

I have lived in Detroit, Chicago and New York City. America has its ups and downs like anywhere, but we take care of our own, if they respect themselves.

Even the people that don’t respect themselves have the occasional person that looks out for them. Theres individuals in Detroit that drive around and give out warm clothes to the homeless during the winter.

Chicago has seen the worst of things too, yet they pulled out. Downtown Chicago used to be really dangerous 15 years ago, now its a tourist destination.

New York, like most of the big cities has a nearly empty downtown at night. Yet, neighborhoods all over thrive until 4am.

During the 1960s the racial tensions caused White Flight, creating the suburbs in the modern fashion.

Now people work in the city and run home to the suburbs, very few American cities can get over this hurdle. The ones that do, make it happen with a thriving art scene, music, food festivals, places to go where people feel part of a community.
