It can be expensive, depending where you get in to, a “menu del dia” is about 9.50 to 11 € which includes: 1st adn 2nd course, dessert and a drink.

a cafe is around 2€

cigarettes are 2.80 or 3.20 € on most tabaco shops

Museums are free only on weekends, and the Prado Museum I believe is just after 5pm

Thyessen is 9 € and as it’s private there is no free day.

there is a hostel which is very cheap and clean with in shower, it is central. search for Hostal Tokio, you don’t need to pay in advance just let them know the dates you’ll be there.
