Your best bet is to go through a travel agency, unless you feel like joining the Peace Corps and living there for two years. They can assist you in getting the documents you need.

For a list of places to see (the list is not very long), just pick up a copy of Lonely Planet: Central Asia. There aren’t a whole lot of must-sees, but the book will let you know what the country has to offer.
