A question about this place:
I'm traveling from Nice Airport to Cannes within a few weeks to attend VMworld. I'll have to take a cab from Nice to Cannes due to my arrival time, and I was wondering what it would cost me to take a taxi from Nice airport to Cannes?

Hello,

I do not live in Nice or Cannes but I do know there is a train linking the two and a bus going from the airport to the station.

I’ve been looking over the Internet to find what you were looking for but could not find anything.
The driver may choose to take the highway (less than 1 euro) or you could go along the coast. This is nicer but surely longer.

I’m sorry I could not give you an exact answer.

Have a good day.

I did not really travel much in France using cabs. I would imagine that it would cost a decent amount since it is about 12 miles to the southwest. I would recommend taking a cab from the airport to the train station. I have been to France twice and spoke zero French. I took trains from Marseilles to Aix En Provence, and then a train from Toulon to Cannes and then onto Monte Carlo. They will have someone at the train station who should speak English. Also, there are many maps and brochures that show the train routes (very helpful). I remember the train ride along the coast to Monte Carlo as being very scenic. The trains are dependable and reansonably priced. Also, being in Nice, I would definitely recommend taking the train to Monte Carlo if you have time. That place is the bomb! The coolest place in the world!! Hope this helps.

I ended up taking the VMware supplied bus on Monday evening and the Airport shuttle on Friday morning.

Total cost: about 15 euros.

Costs of cab as reported by a colleague of mine who was too late for the bus ;-): about 70 euros.

Glad I took the bus!

Thanks for the provided answers!
