A question about this place:
Where is a good spot to live in OKC? I'm moving to Okarche in November to spend time with family and will be looking for a place to rent in OKC near bookstores, coffee shops, musicians and pool tables. Any advice?

Seeing your from Seattle, you’ll probably want to stay in Norman. It is a college town just south of OKC and you will find more of that there.

If you dude that likes dudes then you want to live in the Village. That actually is in OKC.

Otherwise, I would live in Edmond, OK it is just north of OKC but is a nice part of town with freeway access to town.

really it depends on your budget more than anything. While Norman and Edmond are great in many respects, they are also costly and if you are commuting into OKC, good luck. If you are wanting to stay in OKC proper, again depending on your budget, Mesta Park and Heritage Hills, parts of the Village are nice. It would also help to know if you are looking for a house, apartment, town home, etc.

Jefferson Park, Paseo. Amazing historical neighborhoods in OKC with great art/music venues. Reasonably priced historic houses and apartments. Three miles from downtown/Bricktown. Minutes from the interstate. OKC is awesome!

Hiya tracyface. Thanks for the reply!
I’ve been here now about 6 months, and absolutely love Oklahoma. Been spending quite a bit of time at Lake Hefner and in the market for a kayak. Do you still live in OKC? I owe you a coffee now. ;-)
