I have three photos of Childress in my flickr photo stream from when we drove through in September. They’re not very old, so I don’t know if they’re what you’re looking for, but you can see them here. All three of them are of an abandoned hotel. I added Childress to 43 places and mentioned that when I was there I saw actual jailbirds in black and white outfits. It was a strange, old-fashioned little town.
