A question about this place:
My wife and I are going to be coming to ChristChurch in early Feb, 2006. While I'd love any advice, I'm mainly curious if you would meet us for a beer or coffee? We're doing a round-the-world trip and interested in using 43places to meet locals.

Are you visiting other parts of New Zealand. I live near Blenheim (in Marlborough). If you were coming up this way I’d take you wine tasting.

Yeah, we’re renting a campervan and going all over for a month. Wine tasting sounds awesome, olwen. Perhaps we can hookup offline? Our travel site is: http://theworldisnotflat.com

Hey Lee—sounds like a great adventure! Unfortunately, I’m not livin’ there anymore.

If you’re lookin’ for a good drink in chch, have a Ginger Tom at the Dux de Lux. It’s magnificent. Heck, get a pitcher. You won’t regret it. :)

If you’re looking for something a little more upscale, the Gondola is pretty nice. It’ll take you up into the Port Hills, and there’s a restaurant up there with an incredible view and a great menu. If you go in the early afternoon, there are a bunch of trails you can hike in the hills to different view points.

... good times, for sure. Hope this helps!

Hi Adrian,
Sorry for the late notice, but we’re in ChCh now and we leave tomorror afternoon. If you’re interested, perhaps we could for coffee or lunch tomorrow?

Sorry mate, I’m backed up with work [during the day] and babysitting [during the evening] this week. tomorrow won’t work for me.

hopefully you’re finding the environs to your liking, and enjoying your trip.

have a beer at the twisted hop, it’s not very Kiwi flavoured, but it is the best beer in town [IMHO]

sorry

Adrian
