You will find the weather cool in October. The leaves will be mostly turned and starting to fall.

I would add these to my todo list as a visitor to Holland, Michigan:

• A drink at the top of the CityView hotel. Nice view of Holland.
• Dinner and/or Drinks on 8th street, the Main Street of Holland.
• Dinner or drinks at BoatWerks, the lakefront restruant, just west of downtown on Lake Macatawa
• A drive to see Lake Michigan. Best spot is probably Ottawa Beach State Park. This late in the year, it’s probably a free visit, and a bit too cold to swim!
• The Holland Museum
• The Windmill
