You can go to Belcarra Regional Park. There is a Kayaks rental in the park and the on site tutors.

Deep Cove is a great place to go kayaking. You can easily take a bus there from downtown and they provide everything you need. Here’s the link: http://www.deepcovekayak.com/

Have fun!

If you’re looking for kayaking right in the city, there are two good places – Ecomarine, which is on Granville Island on False Creek, or Locarno Beach at the Jericho Sailing Centre. The latter is actually a marine community centre, with sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, not sure if they still have the rowing centre there, and a great casual deck for beer and burgers. It sits between beaches; you can paddle along all the beaches here, out to the nudist wreck beach if you wanna, or over to west vancouver for lunch if you’ve been in a kayak a few times before.
