Do you mean cheap park tickets or cheap airline tickets? Unfortunately, there’s really no way to get cheap park tickets, but you can get them slightly discounted, using either a reseller or by getting a package deal through Disney. For more info, I recommend these websites, which are all about Disney vacations on a budget.

This is another great source for WDW trip planning:

The Magic Your Way packages are the best. We did a package that included counter service (sort of like fast food) and a sit-down meal each day. It added to the price of the package but worked out to save us money in the long run.

Also, go in the offseason. Even though I suspect it’s always busy to a degree, mid-summer and Christmastime are definitely the busiest. I don’t know for sure if your timing affects ticket prices but at least the lines would be shorter. More bang for the buck!

I am not sure about cheap tickets, but there are ways you can minimize your costs while you’re in the parks. I recommend checking out the websites that people before me have posted. They have lots of great tips!!!

Everything these people said is true, not much else I can say. It’s a very good idea to go with park hopper tickets though because without them you can only go to one park a day…
My mom goes to this discussion board: http://www.disboards.com/ I definately recommend it. They know LOTS of things about Disney and how to plan your vacation. I’ve gone 8 times in the past 6 years and this board has really helped us with planning out vacation.

Des had the best links. Even a AAA discount doesn’t get you that much off park tickets. The best discounts are on food and hotel. Keep calling back about cheaper rates on hotel (if staying on property), ask about discounts, check your local newspaper, disboards, and allearsnet.

Ebay has tickets, but make sure you are bidding from people with good feeback scores, a lot of previous auctions and make sure that you feel comfortable with the description. If anything feels strange: don’t bid. But even there you won’t be finding a big discount and the peace of mind from buying the tickets from Disney is worth $20 extra.

All the previous answers sound very good. I remember when my friend and I went back a few years ago we were able to get discounted tickets for many Orlando attractions such as the Al Capone Dinner Show, Ripley’s Believe it or Not Odditorium, and the Orlando Science Center.

Howver, obtaining cheap tickets to Disney World was something we couldn’t figure out how to do. The only option that seemed to be available to us was to purchase what’s called a Park Hopper pass (whichwe personally didn’t do). From what I understand the park hopper pass allows you to use any of the parks for 3 to 5 days and you do save more money than if you had purchased the tickets seperatly for each attraction.

Great tips above. Here is how I do it on the cheap:

I got often, so I buy the largest number of “days” for park-hopper tickets I can. I don’t use them all on the first trip (normally) and save a day or two for the next trip. With my multiple trips to the park, I save $$ over time this way. The tickets are life-time; so they are never wasted.

I also stay in the East Gate area, instead of inpark. Hope that tip helps!

Im not sure how to get cheap ones, but i do know that once you get there you can get almost everything for free. Disneys #1 goal is to make it the best time of you life. So you can walk up to a any food place and tell them you droped you drink or even you whole meal and they will replace “your meal” or drink for free no questions asked. You can walk up to any line that accepts fast passes and ask them for one or a switch rider pass. there is sooo much more things as well the list goes on and on

I also recommend the disboards that a previous poster suggested.

If you have the patience to sit through annoying time share scams and the strength to refuse (they usually take around half a day or so), many of them offer free passes to disney and universal for sitting through it.

also when you’re in orlando there will be lots of tacky tourist booths that sell tickets cheap… probably illegally, but they work and they’re cheaper than buying from disney itself.

I agree, it’s so $$$$ but worth it in the end, at least once!
