For a fancy restaurant, try Eastern Standard – it’s an upscale bistro/restaurant with a 1920s Parisian air about it. The food and the drinks (old style cocktails) are great.

On the mid/lower end price range I can’t really recommend a place. When I go out to eat I either really splurge on fancy food or I head for a chain like TGIF’s or Joe’s American Grill. There’s Cafe Escadrille, but it aspires to being on the fancy end of mid-range, so I’m not sure if that’s what you’re looking for.
