Cool – it sounds like you are doing the same program that I did. We found that flights between Israel and Greece were pretty cheap, so that is probably the best option.

There is 2 flights only so compare between them the price.

by the way, probably you will get beter price if you’ll do the order as soon as possible.

The answers are exactly right. While there used to be good ferry service, that has stopped, and we don’t know when (IF) it will start up again. So, short of swimming (!), try flying.

There are also sometimes charter flights that have a few open seats, that can be cheaper than commercial airlines. You can also look into one of the charter packages, which can be pretty reasonable on a student budget. Check out the on-campus ISSTA office when you get there (http://www.tau.ac.il/visitors/services.html#ta).

So I’m really glad you asked because I’m planning on taking classes this summer too and Tel Aviv is one of the options I’m considering… Did you apply thru their online application? I’m trying to figure out what’s the least bureaucratic way to get a summer education and I’d love to know how you’re going about it because I have no idea what I’m doing. =D

Definitely fly. If you take a boat, it will be as much if not more expensive than a flight AND will waste a few days in travel.

I’d add that lastminute.com is a UK site that I’ve used ‘at the late minute’ for affordable flights and theater tickets, etc.,… if you cannot purchase 2-3 weeks in advance.
