i liked the Eurostar. it was a 5 minute walk from termini so it was great for catching the train to and from the airport. it’s also a central location for sightseeing. and there are lots of cafes and shops on the same street.

it wasn’t dirt cheap but it wasn’t expensive either – i thought it was an excellent value for the price. it was very clean and plush with a beautiful lobby (marble pillars, etc.)

Esquilino Hotel is a really nice hotel, staff are really helpfull and speak great english. Its in Via Cavour a very short walk from Roma Termini and its also a close to the Colosseum. We never needed to get a bus, tram or metro anywhere we just walked. It’s decently priced if your on a budget and the breakfast is superb.
Have a great time

I stayed in Hotel Aphrodite before – it’s right by Termini and it’s really nice.

My boyfriend and I stayed in WRH Suites on Via D. Manin, about a 5 min walk from Termini.

Here’s their website: www.arthouserome.com

The rooms are modern but comfortable and cosy with free internet and a laptop supplied in the room.
The morning breakfast is just what you need to set you up for the day and you’re only a few mins walk from Coliseum, Vittorio Emanuelle, Trajan Markets, Piazza della Republica and so much more!

Enjoy your trip!

Hello!

We just got back from Italy a couple weeks ago, and we stayed at the Yes Hotel
http://www.yeshotelrome.com/

We reserved the smallest room they had, to save a couple bucks, but it was more than enough, and I think it will be for you too if you’re only staying or one night. It was comfortable and quiet, very decent breakfast… and it is very close to Termini:
Directions from Termini station:
Leave the train station from the side exit at track no. 1, taking a left onto via Marsala. Then take first right into via Vicenza, walk straight for one block and turn first left into via Magenta. Yes Hotel is 10 meters ahead on your left.

Hope it helps. I don’t know your budget, but this was about 100E a night.

Good luck!
