A question about this place:
I'm going back to the GC in 2 wks. I know that the Desert View Watchtour is at the East Entrance, but does anyone know of a large stone that looks like a penis? Know where the lookout point would be?

if you just take the standard loop to the south rim the castle will be the one of the first stops if not the first. theres a convenience store there we bought cans of tecate, and drank them out in public sans brown bags, not sure if it was legal but noone told us otherwise.

as for the penis rock i cant help you, im sure theres plenty if you use your imagination
