You can visit monasteries, dzongs, villages, attend tschechu festivals. It’s a beautiful country.
There are only a few places from where you can fly into Bhutan. I know of Kathmandu, Delhi, Calcutta, Bangkok. So you have to fly to one of these cities from Shanghai. And you can only fly to Bhutan with Druk Air from these gateway cities.
There’s one border crossing to enter over land, via Phuntsholing.
