A question about this place:
Hola, I will be in the Dominican Republic tomorrow in Bavaro, Punta Cana for a wedding. I want to travel to Santo Domingo on a One Day City Tour. Anyone know of any?

its a really long ride. like three hrs each way from Punta Cana and i think about 60 dollars for the tour out. unless of course you want to make this an educational history trip or you are looking to do some shopping for fine goods that you cant find at the resort. it would be more fun as two separate trips.

I concur, it’s a pretty long trip to make just for the day.. but if you really want to do it, I would suggest finding a Dominican to show you around. The tour groups are kind of weird.. also they will have a specific itinerary so if you want to do something thats not included or skip something, you kind of have to go along with a group. If you really like architecture, check out Santo domingo for sure.

Thank you for your response. I{m pretty sure we’re going to take the tour still. It’s $70 with everything included: sites, lunch buffet, transportation, guide, etc. I’m a trooper and won’t be put down with the long travel. ;) I appreciate your suggestions though! I am mainly going for the architecture and because I’m a Latin American Studies major and this is where a lot the interesting stuff begins.
