A question about this place:
im looking to go up there the beginning of january. not sure what to do and was wondering about the local music scene. and if anyone knows anything about the local noise/experimental music. thanks for any input .

check out r5productions.com

the music you’re looking for can often be found at the First Unitarian Church, and if it is, R5 will know it. usually stuff in the postrock/noise/experimental end of the spectrum goes through them.

also, Heyday Entertainment (.com) might be helpful… but probably not as much as R5.

r5 does shows all over philly at different venues, mostly r5, but they’ve been branching out the past year with places that have liquer =P. i like the myspace page better, it’s just easier for me.
