Dear Jenny
Transport is scary and hilarious. Picture the oldest mini van you have ever seen driven way too fast and on roads that aren’t the smoothest and you have travel a la Fiji!! The pace in Fiji is slow and relaxed. I would plan to do lot of water activities like snorkelling…amazing blue star fish…Drink cocktails in the swimming pool bar, go scuba diving. Get your hair braided by locals, shop for trinlets. The way of life in Fiji is slow, the towns are not modern, you are best thinking in terms of a relaxing sea holiday with activities supplied by your resort..dancing,torch light processions etc….have a ball!!!!

“Bula” Jenny. I agree with Karalo as its been explained pretty much how it is!.The roads are potholed and roadrules at times seem to take on new meaings, especially for taxi drivers but thats part of mystic of going to a such a poor country.Highly recommend snorkelling,Shot over Jet,taking a day cruise on a yacht the list is endless!.The yacht cruise will get you out to see other islands or you can island hop using the daily ferry service. All tourist attractions are well managed and not like the roads!.Grab the local bus into Nadi, around 65c a one way trip in a bus.You bargain the prices with the shopkeepers and you can get great jewellery like black pearls etc. Have fun, I wont say relax because that will just come naturally in Fiji.”Venarka”
