I visited Tahiti with my girlfriend earlier in the year for a week. Many people spend very little time on Tahiti itself and head straight for one of the other islands, such as Moorea or Bora Bora which are more remote, ‘romantic’, exclusive and expensive! We found there was plenty to do on Tahiti itself, however we did hire a car to explore the whole island… driving there isn’t too challenging as long as you keep your wits about you.

I definitely recommend going to Place Vaiete in Papeete on a evening to eat at the ‘roulottes’.

We went to Tahiti a year ago for my husband’s work conference.

We stayed at the Intercontinental on Moorea & had a wonderful time relaxing, dining, swimming with the dolphins, exploring, and a full spa at the Helene Spa. I also got to get up close with a wild Stingray and have a cuddle with it while my photo was taken. It was magical and something I wouldn’t get the chance to do again.

Later on we went to downtown Papetee and had a wander aound the streets and shops. We found a huge market that sold everything from food to souvenirs. The Tahitian people are so friendly and welcoming.

You and your brother won’t be disappointed. Enjoy your trip!
