Ljubljana, Slovenia

bidazti asks,

“Now I am looking for a cheap place to stay (under 20 euro)! Any ideas, especially private accommodation with a family, would be great. In the city centre, please...and I am looking for places I can't find in the guide book. Thanks!”

hi there—

i don’t know if you’ve considered the hostel celica. my parents, brother, and i stayed there a year and a half ago in a private apartment (2 bunk beds, private bath). yes, it’s a hostel, but the drunk kids are on the lower levels and the apartments are on the top one. there’s a shared kitchen and reading/eating area.

the place is really cool (albeit more so if you didn’t have your parents, but hey, free trip, whatever) and within walking distance from the train station and the city center.

have fun!

actually that seems to be the only place i have heard about period! And I was hoping for something cheaper….I ended up booking Alibi Hostel, which I have totally heard mixed things about, but oh well. Ljubljana appears to suck for non-summer budget accommodation.
