Drink a Beer “Quilmes” in Plaza Dorrego (San Telmo Neiborghood) and “Sidra” in Caminito (La Boca Neiborghood)

Buenos Aires has beautiful Neiborghoods:
Palermo, Recoleta, La Boca and San Telmo are well knows by tourists.

Take a Subway A (wood wagons) (Subte A) take off in Acoyte and you can know a tradicional Neiborghood “Caballito”

Have a nice trip!

I agree with Cafulcura, except about the drinking of “Quilmes”. I’m argentinian and I can’t understand how it is possible that somebody actually like and think it’s a good beer Quilmes. If you ask me, I rather drink Schneider, or Antares. They are a bit hard to find, but way much better.

Other thing you cannot miss are pizza!!! You SHOULD go to “El Cuartito” (Talcahuano 937) or “El Palacio de la Pizza” (Corrientes 951). Ask for a slice of “muzza and faina”, believe, it’s wonderful :)

I hope you enjoy my city :]

Palermo Viejo is the coolest area of the city. Young and hip…for shopping, caffe hoping and later in the evening dinning/clubbing.

Las Canitas is a good area. Go see a polo match at the fields in las Canitas hippodrome and eat an authentic Tarte Tatin at a nearby restaurant.

The recoleta cemetary is one of the most impressive I’ve visited. Worth an afternoon stroll…

Do a group tour to see a Boca Jr.’s match (if it’s season). If you’re lucky, you may spot Diego Maradona in his families’ box seating.

Drink wine! Eat Steak!

Hi there!

I agree with the Recoleta Cemetery. It’s impressive.
Subway A has really great wagons. I love taking a ride on it.

Another place not to miss is the Japanese Garden. It’s really lovely.

The Plaza Dorrego fair (on weekends) is nice but not recommended if you don’t like places packed with people.

If you dig underground culture, try the “Bond Street” Gallery on Saturday Afternoons

If you like art, you won’t want to miss the MALBA Museum: http://www.malba.org.ar
and the Centro Cultural Recoleta: http://www.centroculturalrecoleta.org/

Don’t Forget to take a walk around Puerto Madero. The newest part of the city, great place, exclusive and expensive restaurants.
Also around the Alvear Avenue (in the Recoleta neibourhood), great and very old buildings with french style. Nowadays you can find there exclusive international fashion designers houses.

Try this website for some other places to visit in BA

And speaking of other things you should try is the wine (malbec is the best stump of the country) and the meat.. “Asado”
A nice place (accesible and nice food) is “El Desnivel” @ San Telmo’s neigbourhood. The exact address is Defensa 855.
Other places try www.guiaoleo.com.ar

Well. Hope you have a nice trip! Enjoy it!

Wow! Don’t forget to eat an “Alfajor” from Havana’s store!!! It’s delicious! Well, any chocolate from there is delicious!!! But the Alfajors… nham nham nham! I came back w/ 5 box from it!
You can find an Havana store in any place of Buenos Aires!
You should try to go to a bar – i think its a bar… – calls “La Capela” (in english calls “The Chapel”). It’s a strange place, in a strange building, but when u entrance there, it’s so magic! There’s a lot of different chairs and tables, a empty space that people dance tango!!! Even if you don’t know how to dance, people teach you! It’s awesome!!! I love there and recommend to many people! Who said it to me was the people from the Hostel that I stood. Calls “Millhouse Hostel”, next from that street w/ the famous obelisk – that u HAVE to cross the street! it’s a good experience! ;D
