Cantonese is wildly spoken in Macau, although many speaks English like in Hong Kong.

It would also be good to learn a little (basic) portuguese as they have shop signs and restaurants with this language, basic portuguese would be helpful in understanding the place in its historical context. enjoy!

oh wow!! I LOVE Cantonese! I’ve been wanting to learn for some time, and felt that it would be a waste of time since Mandarin is so much more widely spoken! I’m happy to know that the Hong Kong (and a few other places that I cannot recall right now) is not the only place w/ that language spoken.

I plan on getting a degree in Spanish which requires one course in Portuguese, I believe.
