No dog things of which I am aware. There is some place in Slovenia that shows white horses. It was really boring. But no dog things to my knowledge. Slovenia is a great country, though. By the way, is it kind of painful to read that much F Scott Fitzgerald? I remember a quote from one of his first books: Few things matter, and nothing matters much. But I don’t really get him. Maybe I should try again.

I like horses but there are other Slovenian attrations which would trump even the Lipizzaners. As far as FSF, some of his stuff is a bit dark but why not try his early stuff? My fav short story of his (which I believe you can find free online at Gutenburg Project or maybe Google books) is “The Diamond As Big As The Ritz” – not depressing at all! This Side Of Paradise is my fav book and while it is not laugh-a-minute I would say that it was depressing.
Thanks again for the post!

(The horse place is Lipica and it’s where Lipizaners come from). Are you going to train your dog in sign language?

Thank you for the links. My dogs do know many many hand signals but I don’t use ASL (American Sign Language) on them esp. since one dog doesn’t have the best eyesight so I need whole arm signals. I do occasionally help train hearing alert dogs and so know a little sign language to communicate to the owner. I also train even young healthy dogs to come when a special colar they where emits an electronic stimulation; this eases their transition into old age since they need not hear/see me say or signal to come they feel it (and it is handy when I want my young dogs to come w/o anyone else knowing I am “calling” them. :-)
