Hi Amy,a really good place is about 60 miles north at grove city outlet mall,its right next to the i79 freeway.There are hundreds of shops and its really cheap(well for us Brits it is).Bought loads of stuff and hardley spent anything.

You might be looking for the Red White and Blue thrift shop. The one I used to go to is on Ohio River Blvd, but there is another on Saw Mill Run Blvd. Go to maps.google.com and search for “Red White and Blue” in “Pittsburgh PA” and you’ll find addresses for both.

I suggest the Goodwill on Carson St on the Southside- it can be hit or miss, but every now and then someone with too much money will dump off large quantities of brand name clothes and furniture in like new condition. I’ve also had some luck with the AmVets store out by Kennywood furniture-wise.

I haven’t been home much since i graduted but my nephew, much in the vain of napolean dynamite, has the following suggestions:

Saint Vincent de Paul, which is across the river from Quaker Valley/Sewickly

White and Blue on Rt 65
