I’d say Craigslist is your best bet, whether or not you’d like a roommate. It might be easier to find a roommate as a means to find a place if you’re nervous about how little time you have; you can get to know someone a little in advance, and in my experience roommate ads tend to go up earlier. They can also give you an idea of what the neighborhood is like.

I agree that Craigslist is your best bet. However keep in mind that 1 bedrooms downtown(good 1 bedrooms anyways) tend to go really quickly. I have just spent the past month stalking craigslist looking for a good 1 br and finally found a decent one. It really depends on what neighborhood and what your price range is.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

well, i dont even need a 1 bedroom, i could even go for a studio. A couple places i have found that i liked so far are Blake st Apt, Glenwood, and Foxfire. But living in NC makes it a bit difficult so face to face the places there. What are the good neighborhoods for 25 yr old single male?

I am not familiar with those places you mentioned. I live in Capital Hill neighborhood and it is a fun neighborhood..some people think it is too loud. If you want to stay within walking distance to downtown, bars etc. I would recommend checking out that neighborhood.

Wash Park, The Highlands and Congress Park are other up and coming neighborhoods-but more expensive.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Glad to help.
