I suggest visiting this site: http://www.belgianstyle.com/mmguide/locate/locate01.html#null
When I was there, I had a check list of Belgian Beers based on style. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to visit any breweries.

I’d type it all in but you should just check out the site below for the breweries and beer museums. But I do suggest in Belgium to hit Ghent and go into a little place called “Dulle Griet”. 250 soorten dranken :D Great atmosphere and practically a monument to beer itself. The inside is covered with beer signs and memorabilia. They even serve a drink which requires one of your shoes as ransom, which they hoist to the ceiling in a basket, for the tall glass. :P But, if you get a little schlockered you may want to bring a partner to the bathroom cause the stairs, in my opinion are not made for the drunk, sooo steep and spiraled! :D

You can use Michael Jacksons Great Beers of Belgium as a guide to find out which beers you want to try.
Have fun! (en pas op voor de kater)

I don’t know of any actual beer tours but if you stick to Flanders in the northern half of the country finding beer won’t be a problem! But when your in Amsterdam there is the Heineken Brouwerij.

Well if it is beer you are looking after Belgium is definately the right place
Litterally hundreds of different beers …
I would suggest to visit few abbayes (used to be monasteries that brew their own beer ) that have incredible beers …
Can’t remember names but i will give you links
You will find great beer all over Belgium and not just in the northern part as some suggested (I remember having a beer called Chouffe in the Ardennes wich was absolutely gorgeous…)
I would agree with Daram
Start from http://www.visitbelgium.com/beer.htm

If you can get in visit the abbey of Westvleteren—> voted best beer in the world. I don’t know if you know Stella Artois but it’s the most famous beer in Belgium/Europe/the world. The brewery is located in Leuven, where I live. You can take a tour there, I did it last year with a group of Romanians and they really enjoyed it.
