As far as entering the camp ground area you must go thru security. It is always a long line and they check thru most things. We did get alchohol and such in by putting it Soda bottles. Because the thing I love about Cali is you can go into Palm Springs and by liquior at the Super Walmart. then entering the grounds for the festival there is security once more that goes thru your things.

But there is no secuity making sure your crap is safe, so only leave in your tent none expensive belongings. But seriously there is always people at the camp ground and no one is going to try to take other peoples things
