A question about this place:
I'm heading here during August for a final holiday with my friends before they all finish university and start work or go overseas. Is Malaga as full of drunken Brits (like me) as I imagine it to be? Can anyone recommend any activities or places that I ca

Malaga is a Spanish city full of working Spanish people, (along with other nationalities) not a typical Brit holiday destination although there are a few bars that might speak some english if you search hard enough. If you are there between the 11th and 19th of August you will be there at the time of the annual Feria and you will be immersed in thousands of Drunken Spanish (great fun). They have a massive purpose built fair ground with lots going on till 6am each night/day. If your Spanish is not too good and you need the comfort of other Brits you need to go a bit further up the coast to Torremolinos/Benalmadena or Fuengirola. Lots of tacky english and Irish bars there (I know I ran one of them) Keep your wits about yourself as Morrocans love to rob drunken holidaymakers. Also in case you didn’t know, Torremolinos is the equivalent of Brighton in England and has an area called La Nogelera where there is an extensive collection of gay bars, if you go there and you are not gay dont mistake the pubs dark room for the toilet otherwise you are in for a big shock.

Thanks very much. Looks like I’m going to have to improve spanish beyond “tengo un toro en mi cocina”! I’m heading out there on the 21st so I’m just missing out on the festival funtimes.
