A question about this place:
Is everyone in Germany so nice? We got a cab driver to take us all over the place. He gave us like an entire tour of Frankfurt for 15 Euro. It took him all day, and he totally hooked us up. I was so pleased with the locals and my experience.

?? I have NEVER heard of this!! Maybe you know the language and are a smooth talker? Usually the Taxi’s are quite expensive, I mean EXPENSIVE!! I know that from WAAF (Wiesbaden Army AirField) to the Hauptbanhof (In Wiesbaden, or Mainz-Kastel – about the same ditance, a few miles) it is 20 Euro and that is how it has been since I’ve been here. I did run into one Taxi Driver (because I do not drive when I go out drinking) that only charged me 10 Euro if I promised to call him for the return trip (another 10 Euro) so I did, half price compared to most drivers!

You got luck! Where di you go, what did you see? How did you like the Red Light District (a lot of people check it out even if they aren’t going to use it, just from curiosity) Did you get to see the Saxonhousen area with all the rock/dance clubs?

Well, I got to tell you that there are many nice people in Germany. I was in a volunteer camp last summer and, as I wanted to visit Dresden, I stayed a bit more after the camp finished.

I stayed over at a guy I contacted through hospitality club and this perfect stranger showed me everywhere around town, took me to his friend’s birthday and as I do not know any English, many of the people at that party spoke in English, so I could understand.

It was an amazing experience, how those people were extremely kind to this girl whom they’ve never met before and will never meet again in their lives.

So, I have to tell you to go visit Germany and spend some time with the students there because they are great !
