I dont know if u worked up the nerve to travel to Morocco as yet but I think you should. As a single female I travelled there April 2007 alone for 2 weeks. I visited Marakkesh and Ourzazate. I had a terrific time and felt pretty safe most of the time. It seems to be a given that Moroccan men will make advances, just be forceful in saying no and at all times possible avoid eye contact. If they speak english and are making sexual advances towards you, ask him in a loud voice if he would speak that way to a Moroccan woman. Most importantly, dress conservatively as much as possible. Try not to reveal too much skin. You will have a great time. I am headed back to Morocco December 2007 to spend the holidays with my friends I met in April. I bid you bon voyage! good luck.

Well that depends. If you’re either white or your good looking then i highly discourage it. Its not a very safe place to be alone. My sister and her friends went to get something to drink somewhere near the beach in broad day light and there were a couple men contemplating kidnapping them at knife point. the only reason why it didn’t happen was because the store owner over heard them and basically told them to fuck off. we later returned as a group when the store owner explained to me what happened in French. bottom line. not a very good idea going there alone.
