Peru: Amazon Rainforest

A question about this place:
Is it safe to drive in central Brazil? My girfriend and I are planning a trip that would take us from Venezuela through Manaus and then eventually to Argentina. We expect a relatively high degree of danger, but I wonder how far off we are?

Honestly it is hard to answer that question. Being a female I wouldn’t do the drive though it does sound like quite an adventure. I’ve taken boats and buses for my traveling around Brasil. Roads are bad in some areas, cops can be a pain in the butt and often you drive for hours without passing a major city. I hope this helps at least a tiny bit…
