Also, I don’t know if you’re a member of Meetup, but there are a lot of groups that you might find cool.

I noticed you like movies…have you visited the Angelika Film Center? It’s more centered around independent movies. It’s in the Bayou Place complex downtown, which also has a pool hall and several restaurants.

I don’t know what else you’re into, but if you like books or music, there’s always Half Price Books, which has several locations throughout town. And there are always lots of festivals and events. Theater Under the Stars at Hermann Park is about to start for the summer.

Oh, and the Museum of Fine Arts is free on Thursdays!

Just explore. There’s tons to do here, trust me.
