If there is anyone in town who can make a cocktail properly, it’s Murray Stenson at the Zig Zag Café. Murray can make anything, and Murray makes everything very very well.
Zig zag is on the hill climb behind pike place market. Go to Western behind the market, and then go down a few flights of stairs. It’s on the right on the side of the same building that World Spice is in. It’s kind of hard to find.
Murray is the best bartender in town. Google “Murray Stenson seattle” and you’ll find lots of evidence.

Oh, Zig Zag is a good idea. I’ve been there once. I want it served in a silver cup like it ought to be. I wonder if it would be weird if I called them and asked if they did that. Ha ha.
ps Thanks! :)

I had a really good one at the Kingfish on 19th on Capitol Hill last week. Zig Zag is a good bet to cuz they have awesome bartenders or try the Queen City Grill when Kirk is working.

I tried the Frontier Room’s yesterday and it was delish. I love the silver cup!
I think I’m still going to have to do a little comparison drinking to determine who makes the best one.

I tried Bleu Bistro’s mint julep yesterday. I give it an EH. too much syrup and the glass is ugly.

I tried the julep at Suite 410 yesterday. It is delicious, but not served in the right glass. I really liked the finely crushed ice. I think that is a key element.
