“I'm looking at Bocas del Toro to got to the Spanish language school there, in mid-Jan. Anyone meet people who studied at El Paraiso school and hear any good or bad stories? Also, what would be the most 'direct' way to get there from New York”

I was there a couple of times and left out of Chicago on American. Then into Miami then to PTY ( Panama City ) Toucaman Airport. We checked into the Caesar Park Hotel and flew Air Perlas to Bocas the next day. I think that Taca flys out of NYC.

I have studied at El Paraiso and was very happy with the value one gets. The quality of their spanish classes is not surpassed by many schools ( have studies in numerous). They are also very client orientated and will attend to all your needs.

Have not traveled from New York, but here are 2 options:

- fly to San Jose, costa rica, thant hop on a Nature Air flihgt to Bocas or you can also go the land route via a bus to the boarder, than a bus and boat taxi

- fly to Panama city and take a flight with AIr Panama or Aeroperlas to the Islands.
