A question about this place:
Is it possible to go bear-watching here?

My impression is that people expect to see bears in most national parks in Canada and northern US.

There are quite a number of them around, and the question would more likely be what kind of bear you’ll see and in what occasion. —Apparently there’re more brown/black bears than grizzly bears. And most of the times I did see one, I was on some sort of vehicle. I haven’t ever see a bear when I was hiking/camping, and I honestly don’t know if it’s a good thing or bad thing.

If you absolutely want to see bears up close and personal, the island open for bear watching around Vancouver might be a better bet.

Another place to see bears up close is Bear Country USA. It’s a park where you drive your car through their park. For most places in the wild, if you see a bear, it usually won’t be for very long, or be very close. I saw a bear run across the road last week in Colorado Springs, and I’ve seen them around New Jersey as well.
