robins book store. ibelieve it is on pine street. you can look it up in the phone book.

Giovanni’s Room- gay bookstore at 12th and Pine; Robbins 13th and Sansom; Joseph Fox Sansom between 17th and 18th. My three favorites.

For West Philly:

House of Our Own : Spruce between 39th and 40th st. They have good used fiction upstairs and a lot of interesting cultural/social/humanities books as well.

Last word bookstore:
Between 39th and 40th on Walnut. Good used fiction section, probably more variety of kinds of books than House of Our Own, but that means you have to look at more crap too. Couches and interesting music on the radio/stereo.

Check out Bookhaven at 22nd and Fairmount, then go to Mugshots Cafe down the street for some excellent coffee (good vegan pastries, too).

Robin’s Bookstore is also good, but they’re closed down a few weeks ago…damn internet sellers!
