I was there in late July and it was extremely foggy. The fog began to lift after noon but it was a tad disappointing that Mother Nature hid much of the scenery from us that day. In any case, I don’t know if this is typical for the area or not, but it’s something you might want to look into. Of course there’s no way you can guarantee great weather but if you can avoid a typically foggy timeframe, that might be to your benefit.

I was there in late March, it was cold and the wind was blowing mist that day, but it was still exhilarating. My daughter was there in Feb and it was cold and clear. You are dealing with the sea so conditions change rapidly.

You are talking about visiting Ireland. The weather is always a crap shoot and the one thing you can count on is always changing weather. The two answers so far noted the fog. If I remember correctly, the day I was there started with a light fog that opened up into a beautiful sunny day in late July. Ireland is a place where it rains for five minutes every half hour in the summer and you get twenty-five minute breaks with the sun.. Enjoy!

I would say late late summer, spring time is a no go- just foggy and cold. So late August is perfect. Have a wonderful trip!

I went there 19th July this year. The weather was very nice. Blue sky, blue water and strong sunshine =)

When I told this to a Irish people she was very suppriced. Maybe it is not easy to find a good weather day in Ireland. But who knows! Try it in summer. Good Luck!

I would say later in august or early in september, because if it’s the middle of summer there is no where to shelter. However, if u go in winter it rains a lot and very windy.

All i need to say is storm on geography trip with notepads for project in april.
