How do you actually get there? Where do you fly from and how long is the total trip from the US?

The only way to fly to Easter Island is on Lan Chile from Santiago (about 5 to 6 hours) or from Tahiti (6 to 7 hours).
Santiago is a lovely and interesting place with its own unique food, so I would recommend taking advantage of it if you go that route. I think Santiago is about 10 hours from Atlanta. It is an overnight trip on Delta.

We (my fiance and I) are planning a trip to Chille this september is there any place we should not miss? We are trying to hit the best places to hit for they time period we are there (late sept early october). Were sorta kicking around 2 ideas. Patagonia for kayaking / hiking or Portio for skiing, and I’ve just started thinking about wine country, but i’m pretty sure we’ll be off season.
