A question about this place:
I am going to Annapolis over Labor Day weekend for a Wedding. Can anyone give 3 place I must see/do while there? Oh, and recommend a place where I just have to eat! Thanks!!

I’ve lived in Annapolis most of my life…gosh it is HARD to narrow it down to just 3 places ;) But here are my top recomendations…

1) Annapolis Pottery Shop – amazing store, great sellection of pottery all sizes, uses and prices. Located on State Circle accross the street from the State Capital building.

2) Annapolis Ice Cream Company – Look for the penguins!! The best homemade icecream ever!!

3)History Quest – an awesome new FREE museum in a restored historic house located at the bottom of Main St. Learn about Annapolis’ unique history.

Oh, not to forget…DINING :) You must try Pussers at the Waterfront Marriot hotel. They have the best crab dip in Annapolis! Sit outside right on the water!

I’d recommend CafĂ© Normandie, on 185 Main Street; the Naval Academy is worth taking a look at…

Fabulous delly/diner food at Chick & Ruth’s… 165 Main Street in Annapolis.

I was just there this past week so I KNOW it’s good. We were in town to visit the Naval Academy where my father had graduated many years ago.

We had asked a local where the best place was for breakfast… She told about this place and it was worth it! Everything is homemade. We ate upstairs and its nothing but pictures of politicians (State House IS nearby…), sports people, some beauty queens and a few celebrities on the wall. Plus lots of amusing items. ALWAYS something to look at a you wait for your meal. Strangely enough you’ll notice bagels hanging from the ceiling. Ask your server and they will tell you the story.

All the sandwiches and salads are named after politicians. My father remarked that they must not be Republicans because the George Bush was a turkey breast sandwich and VP Dick Cheney was chicken salad.

It’s quaint, DELICIOUS and cheap. Can’t go wrong with that combo.

Oh, one last thing… Above the restaurant they have guest rooms for rent. www.scotlaurinn.com (They named it after their kids, Scott and Lauren)
