you have to visit taomina, one of the most beautifull places i’ve ever been.
i think the best way to go there is by train. the railroad goes along between mountains and the sea. you’ll love it. enjoy your trip.

In two weeks there is time enough to see Erice (near Trapani), Palermo, Cefalù, Taormina, Catania, Siracusa and Agrigento. These are the “must see”! Enjoy Sicily and ask me more. :)

2 weeks in Sicilia sounds like I dream. I’ll echo the above by saying I wouldn’t miss Palermo, Taormina, Siracusa (my favorite!), or Agrigento, and toss in a little gem of a town Noto as a daytrip. Have a great trip.

I have been to and highly recommend Cefalù, Palermo, and Agrigento. I am going back in September myself, and I hope to be able to visit Erice, Trapani, Siracusa, and/or Catania on this trip. I have not been to any of those places yet. I am not sure where the winds will take us, though! I will be staying near Cefalù, so I know I will be there often. I hear that Taormina is beautiful, but I am not sure I will make it there this time.
Have a wonderful time! The weather is wonderful in September, so bring your bathing suit!

Thank you all for the answers!
Gillo: Well actually I’m interested in all of those :)
We were thinking about maybe staying in an hotel the first week and an hotel the 2nd (maybe Palermo and Siracusa – or maybe 3 hotels) and rent a car, in order to be able to visit the places around. I would have like to move more, but the people i’m going with don’t really want to do an hotel a day, so this might be a good compromise.
