My family loved posing with the murals on the buildings. It had a lot of history. It’s worth seeing!

I first went here due to a $10 bet that i couldnt make it on one tank of gas from western arkansas, in my Crown Vic. I also love the history behind Route 66, which runs thru the middle of town. I stayed at the Blue Swallow Motel which is a great historical mom and pop motel. Bill who runs the place is a great guide to whats in the area. Drive north to Lake Conchas State Park or south to Fort Sumner to visit Billy the Kid. Get a full tank, a map and take the backroads. I plan on returning again this year and yes, i won the bet.
