New Year’s Eve here was crazy. Everyone was setting off their own fireworks, some aimed at other people. Alot of fun!

It is the city center for Munich… it’s pretty hard to miss / avoid.

The Rathaus (city hall) is quite grand. Make sure you venture into the court yard where it is quiet and take a look around. Look up to the top to see the Münchener Kind’l figure (it looks like a little monk).

If you see black and yellow flags they are Munich flags. The white and blue are Bavarian flags.

I cross through here nearly everyday. This summer the Rathaus is getting a face lift so visitors might be disappointed.

Make sure you make it to the glockenspiel -for no other reason than to watch the other people with their mouths hanging open looking above to watch the figurines move in a circle and the chimes ring. It’s hilarious. Everyone is thinking ‘we waited for this?!’
