Worth visiting!
A tip I have about this place
Be sure to use the restroom before you go if you are squeamish about porta-potties. There are indoor toilets available at the END of the hour-long tour. FANTASTIC place to visit. My favorite room was the breakfast room.

The last time I went to this place
We just returned from Duluth last week. I had never been on the expanded tour of the home, and, while a bit spendy (around $24 per person), it was well worth the extra money. The basic tour takes you through the sitting rooms, library, etc., and the expanded tour takes you through the upper floors through all of the bedrooms. It truly is a priceless house.

I used to volunteer here. The mansion has an amazing history, and is situated on a pretty plot of land along Lake Superior. The living tours (if they still exist), take visitors back in time before the murders that took place in the 60s or 70s. It has a garden house, a stable, boat house, and the main house. The woodwork in the main house should be checked out.
