Historical Records

The National Archives in Kew hold some of the most amazing documents produced in the British Isles and the Commonwealth and they make them available to the public for free. In particular, this is where the Domesday Book, a survey ordered by William the Conqueror in 1085, is held. It is on display in the small museum. Having in front of you such an amazing book, that is more than 900 years old and still in amazing condition, is a unique experience.
