The newest lighthouse on the Outer Banks
This is a screwpile lighthouse. Through a joint effort, it was reconstructed and opened to the public in 2004. You can’t climb to the top (at least today, we couldn’t), but you can walk around the outside, and there are exhibits on the ground floor.
It’s located on the Manteo waterfront, near the Elizabeth II.

Why I want to go to this place
This is the only Outer Banks Lighthouse I haven’t been to yet. It was recently renovated and re-opened to the public in 2004.
