Man, I totally dig this place. Buffalo Wild Wings feels like an airport hangar compared to Sportspage, which is just a sportsbar. There are TV’s at every dining booth, and the typical widescreens everywhere.

Service has been good to very good, and the food is excellent. Don’t hesitate to give it a try.

News about this place

Since the last time I went, partitions (made of glass or another transparent material) were set up between the smoking and non-smoking section. We sat directly next to one, and I could still smell smoke, but not as bad as before.

The food is still yummy. :-) We ran into a couple I know who were there for the first time. They liked it, too, and said they’d be back.

Sportspage/Sports Page?

The sign out front says “SPORTS PAGE BAR & GRILLE,” matchbook covers say the same, the logo has a small space between the two words, but the menu says “Sportspage Bar and Grille,” and perhaps most importantly, my credit card receipt (which would presumably have the proper legal name) says “Sportspage Bar & Grille.”

Great food, great sports bar atmosphere

We ate here today. I was pleased to see that it has the same menu as the original location. Each booth had its own HD TV set, and there were about 14 TVs over the bar, plus numerous other larger plasma TVs along the walls over the booths. Smoking was allowed at the bar, but I only smelled smoke once while we were there.

We’ll be back!

I took the attached photo with my cell phone, so it’s not the greatest, but it shows you what it looks like from the outside.

Why I want to go to this place

The original Sportspage and this one are co-owned by Rob Jones, the former trainer and equipment manager for the local hockey team. The food and atmosphere at the original Sportspage in Midlothian are awesome, but it’s a pretty long drive from my house. This location will be much more convenient.
