Cyril E. King Airport

I’m just having a little rant about how disorganized this airport is.

At the check in desk, we were only given one customs form even though the woman checking us in could clearly see on our passports that we had different addresses. So after standing in line to have our customs forms checked, we finally get up there and are told we need one form for each address, not one for all of us.

We go back to the counter where there are supposed to be forms to fill out except there were no forms in English left, only French and Spanish. So we had to go all the way back to the check in desk and ask for more forms. She gave us ONE more. We told her we needed more than one and the counter with the forms was empty. She grudgingly gave us two more forms and didn’t even seem to care that the counter was empty. Talk about being stingy with the customs forms!

Finally, we get our forms filled out and get through. Now onto security and xrays. Just as we’re about to put our stuff through the xray, we are told that this line is closing! So we have to grab all our stuff and get in a different line to wait even longer. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the machine, they just decided to close one down despite the long lines.

Once through there, we could finally sit at our gate and relax. But it was lunch time and we wanted food. Unfortunately there was only one place to eat and of course, the line for it was out the door. I know there’s nothing they could do about it at the time but this airport needs some remodelling done in the future. I know it’s a small island and therefore a small airport but they obviously still need other food options. After standing in line for food, we realize that one of the things holding everything up is that there is only one cashier!

I’ve never been to a more disorganized and ineffecient airport.
