Downtown aka: The D, Downtown Detroit

Try to avoid valet parking if possible. Even places that don’t charge for valet really are not worth it, as it takes them forever to retrieve your car. Better to leave your vehicle in a parking garage and then walk or take the people mover throughout the downtown area.

Anytime you’re in downtown Detroit, park at the Greektown Casino and use the people mover to get to Hart Plaza, The Joe, Cobo, etc. It’s silly to pay for parking when it’s free if you go into the casino and get validated.

Put that money in your gas tank, Motown!
