A beautiful place; the sandbanks stretch on forever it seems. A great place to go camping and just relax.

I grew up there. My grandparents raised me on Glenora Road about a mile from the ferry. There is never a shortage of things to do. Now when I visit it does my heart good to see all the art and wineries. One day I will live there again.

I go every year if I can! A great long strip of light sand, i swear sometimes you wonder if you really are possibly in Canada. And the dunes are awesome fun!

The Provincial Park was completely full so we had to stay elsewhere. It was very hot and humid the whole time and there were electrical storms too. The Waupoos Winery was lovely to visit. And we got to walk on the beach a lot.
We would go back any time but preferably when it’s not so HOT! Maybe in the Fall for the harvest festivals.

I’ll be able to cross this one off my list next week, as we are heading there in a few days. Biking from Ottawa to Perth to Kingston and then to Picton. Then camp at Sandbanks Provincial Park for a few days before pedalling home. I hear Prince Edward County has a winery and a brewery as well as a fibre festival, all of which are up my alley. The fibre festival won’t be on while we are there but we might visit the farm that hosts it. The only time I was at Sandbanks was when I was 2, in 1960, so I don’t really have any memory of it!
